What we track, and what we never track

Horapod tracks work time. Only while a worker is clocked in, and only after the worker has agreed.

The first time someone opens the tracker, it shows them this list. They must agree before they can clock in. Without that agreement the server refuses the clock-in.

What it records, by plan

What the tracker records on each plan
What What it means Free Starter Premium
Work time When you clock in and out, and your total hours. YesYesYes
Apps and sites Which app is in front. In Chrome and Edge, the site name, for example docs.google.com, never the full address. If the address can't be read (some languages, a new tab), the page title is recorded instead, cut to 120 characters. In other apps, the window title, cut to 120 characters. A window title can contain a document name or an email subject. NoYesYes
Activity level How much of each 10 minutes had any keyboard or mouse input. It counts input. It never sees what was typed. NoYesYes
Screenshots At random times, a few times an hour, only while clocked in. All screens, scaled down to 1920 pixels wide. NoYesYes
Meetings Horapod checks whether a meeting app is using the microphone or camera, so the time shows as "In a meeting" and not idle. It never records sound or video. NoYesYes
A photo at every clock-in A quick photo is taken each time you clock in, so your manager knows it's you. Only if the boss turns it on. NoNoPremium
Fake input detection Premium only, and only if the boss turns it on. NoNoPremium
Off-task sorting Premium only. Time is sorted against the boss's own not-work list. NoNoPremium

What it never records

Who sees what

When it changes

If the boss turns on more tracking, or upgrades, the worker sees the new list and agrees again before the next clock-in. An upgrade alone never widens what is tracked.

How long it is kept

Screenshots and clock-in photos are deleted after 90 days. Hours are kept for the company's records. More in Security and data.

Locked screen

A locked screen counts as idle.
